The family had just arrived to St Louis and we were hungry after 2 hours in the air. I've heard a lot about St Louis BBQ so as a good Texan, I said to myself, self...BBQ let's see if they got game. I noticed most places closed at 8/9 pm. I don't know if its The Rona or normal so heads up. Due to time, we selected this establishment. It's located next to a huge casino on the river. You'll notice that parking is hard to find in front of the place. It's a historical looking place next to regular homes. We walked in and you can smell smoke flavor. The establishment's aesthetics are a mixture of Soul and Animal Body part. The customer service was A since we entered. The building has different tiers in their seating area and the bathrooms are located at the entrance next to the bar (Note: no baby changing station in the men's room). Our server continued the positive hospitality. We ordered our traditional pork ribs, brisket and the sides (sweet potato casserole and green beans). The service was quick as the food arrived in the blink of an eye. The flavor was original coming from eating tons of Texas BBQ. The smoked taste was found in each bite in the brisket. They had 3 table sauces and they all were good I suggest the ST. The casserole was sweet and full of pecans. The green beans had a great combination of meat, bacon and smoke taste in them. The ribs a bit lacking in meat yet real good. Finally, we were offered peKAN pie and a fat guy can't reject that. It was homemade style and warmed up. The cost was 49 plus tip and it was a great eating experience. I recommend it as a place that is tasty and family friendly.

This was a real neat local venue. The building and decor set a great mood, and the patio seating option was great. We got the sampler platter of meat with cornbread to start. The cornbread was sweet, fresh, and delicious. I have had better brisket, but liked the ribs and pulled pork. One downside is that they only had one hostess scheduled for a Saturday night.
Went there with a party of 9 5 of which were kids and all ate kids meals 4 adults , got our food and everything was cold except the French fries. Great waitress but food that isn't even warm and over 150 dollars. Definitely not worth the price we love good BBQ but my family will not dine here again!!
The food taste really good. We ordered pulled pork nachos and a brisket sandwich to go. Only got the nachos. We went back in and they gave us another container after we explained what happened. Got to the car and it was a burger bun in the container. Thats it. No fries, no meat, nothing else that was supposed to come with it. 40 for nachos and a hard hamburger bun. Never again.
Almost gave it 4 stars but the zombie apocalypse makes me feel like I should nudge it up a bit. The customer service was great but the service itself was a bit scattered and disorganized. Maybe some folks were new? That’s where the situation makes me give the benefit of the doubt. Everyone was very friendly but refills were hit n miss. Food was very good. I got the 2 meat platter with pulled pork and ribs. Great flavor all around. Baked beans were good too. Macaroni and cheese was quite plain, needed some salt or something. My wife loved her smoked turkey and greens. Lots of room of the patio. Once the zombies are gone I’ll go back and give ‘em another try. :)
