Amazing display of Chesapeake Maritime History. Historic boat restoration, historic lighthouse, antique boat museum, decoy museum, oyster and crab waterman museums. Special exhibits which change regularly and much more. Had an excellent time and didn't have enough time to enjoy it all like we would have liked. A must visit for Bay history enthusiasts.

Very good family experience. Must wear masks at all times but you were able to enter and exit many building without having to worry about COVID issues. There were kid friendly displays but with plenty of information and history to keep adults engaged. The only reason that this is receiving a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is because the shipyard is currently closed due to the building of the boat the \Rose\. Very cute place to visit and spend a couple hours exploring, along with very reasonable pricing.
What an awesome time we had. Very knowledgeable volunteers and very talented restorers and boat builders. They are currently building a replica of the Dove ship that dates back to the late 1600's, awesome. Very interesting and educational. I highly recommend it.
Went on a day trip to see the Hooper Straight Lighthouse and museum.. Some things were closed due to COVID-19 but still had a good time. Even grabbed some good seafood from The Crab Claw. Its always fun when we go and everyone is super friendly. You can also grab a few bottles of wine from the winery to take home! Highly recommend it for couples and family!
More extensive and than you'd guess by just approaching the entrance. If you want to get a sense of the history and lives of Chesapeake Bay watermen and people, this is a great place to explore.
