Was really interesting. Loads to see, well worth the visit. I am a great fan of The Yorkshire Vet. I do remember All creatures great and small, nice going back to the past. Would definitely recommend to see it. Not too expensive and you can take pics on way around.

This was a great museum and well worth the visit. Didn't have to book in advance - we just turned up and bought two tickets. Lots to see. The first part is walking through what would have been his old home, kitted out how it would have been at the time. Then plenty of info and photos and exhibits about his life and work. The WW2 air raid shelter seemed to be shut due to covid 19 and the upstairs part was not accessible to wheelchair users (so the wheelchair user tickets were cheaper than usual) There was also an interactive area for kids (or adults) which was fun! And an are set out like a TV studio, which was also fun. Gift shop at the end, which I think you can also access from the street separately. Definitely worth a trip! Staff were friendly and helpful and the museum had been prepared well for social distancing.

This is a real gem. Lovely to see where Alf Wight stayed and penned out his writing career as James Herriot. Would recommend a visit to the Museum for all and especially young inspiring people that wish to follow in the footsteps. So pleased to have come here. Just wish I had been able to meet Alf Wight but unfortunately too young for this to have happened.

A superb museum/attraction. Deceptive, as it seems small as you walk in, but then there's more, and more, and more..... A TV studio, cars, memorabilia, vets equipment. The street frontage belies what lies within. It took us around an hour and a half to go round before purchasing some Steve and Jeanie mugs in the shop. And the staff were great too. I had an issue where I'd overpaid online for our entry. They spotted the mistake and said they'd sort it out and credit within 48 hours. And they did!!! Totally recommended.

A great museum to give an insight into the lives of a country vet in the 40s, 50s etc. For fans of All Creatures Great and Small it is brilliant to see the house where Alf Wight - writer of the James Herriot stories lived and worked. Lots of fun things to do for children. It is really well worth a visit.
