Awful service just now in Matalan in Trowbridge by some older “gentlemen” who scoffed when I had to return something that I had ordered online using paypal. He rolled his eyes and said “oh you used paypal...well done....” and said “hang on I’m going to be a while” ...then had to call his manager to help as he couldn’t do it himself. After that was sorted I told him I had a parcel to pick up and he goes off on another one “oh didn’t tell me that at the start did you!” It’s like I can do nothing right. I won’t name and shame however I would recommend Matalan train their staff better at talking to customers.

My mother visited the store today with my very pregnant daughter. Mother has terminal cancer and needed the toilet. She can hardly walk and asked if she could use the toilet and the member of staff asked if she was disabled. She replied if having terminal cancer is disabled then yes I am disabled . The member of staff said if you have a card saying your terminally ill then yes you can use the toilet. Mum found a card and was allowed to use the toilet. My daughter asked if she could use the toilet and the staff asked are you disabled and my daughter said no I'm 8 months pregnant and the member of staff said do you have a card and my daughter said no but clearly I'm pregnant and the member of staff said if you dont have a card you cant use it. Why are matalan customers treated so badly in trowbridge when other matalan stores let you use the toilet. Thank god for kfc. (Matalan open your customer toilets to everyone)
