I stumbled upon Trattoria San Basilio after an afternoon of wandering around Venice, and my meal was amongst the best I’ve had. Classic dishes made from family recipes using fresh ingredients—what more can you ask for? There’s nothing quite like dining on fresh food next to Venetian canals with a good bottle of wine open on the table.

Food is fantastic! Relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff! Small restaurant yet lots of choices. Not as crowded as the main island. We enjoyed our meal!

Nice quiet location by the water - though right next to a Vaporetto stop. The pasta was really good, perfectly al dente, and the tiramisú very tasty and light. Prices were honest to a bit pricey. But you can be sure to eat very good quality. The owner is friendly and good humor.

Very warm and healthful owner who let us feel as home. It was very cozy and comfortable. Our Spaghetti were amazing ( real al dente), very tasteful, the white wine sauce and tomato sauce was a Gourmet dream....! We had spaghetti as „primo piatto“ so the portion was obviously much smaller the the main dish ( please do know the difference before you say our portion was too small). It would be delightful to come here next time
