The shop owner was quite possibly the rudest, most unwelcoming, snappy, sarcastic person I have ever encountered! Great shop with great novelty gifts and collectors items. I would have gladly bought a few things in there.... If he learned what customer service was.... . Not giving that man my money!

Always very helpful, will order anything you ask for even very obscure and foreign DVDs. Very impressed when I asked if they could find a set of CDs from 1992, came up trumps with all set of 4.

I have had a horrible experience in this shop today. I have been a regular customer and have bought a number of presents there over the years, but will never do so again. The shop manager is extremely rude. I went into the shop to buy a present for my son's friend and for my sons birthday, so was about to spend a fair amount of money. I took in a paper bag with a roll in it and was not intending to eat any (as I do not eat in shops) however taking some time to decide what to buy, I had a small, discreet single bite. The shop manager was then unnecessarily rude to me. He said I had ignored the sign on the door and I would have to leave the shop. I explained that I had not seen (the small) sign on the bottom of the door, that I was quite happy not to eat and there was no need to be so rude. He then told me to leave. Consequently I did and will not be going back! Another customer in the shop told the shop manager he had handled the situation badly and also left with me. I can't imagine how a shop keeper in his right mind would behave in this way to a well intentioned customer. We all know independent shop owners in Wells have a struggle on their hands with high rates and Britelly has just moved into bigger premises. Clearly he doe not understand the golden rule... if you wish to stay in business treat your customers with respect.
