So much to look at! Easy to appreciate this amazing collection of tin toys. Staff were very friendly and keen to share interesting facts about the pieces. The shop dog is adorable.the entry price is reasonable if you take time to enjoy looking at the toys. I would take family here when they come to visit. Hint: take the escalator up America Yama Park to cut some of the uphill walk.

A tiny museum crammed full of nostalgia. Well worth the 10 minute walk! It's a bit difficult to get to: you have to go from Motomachi-Chukagai Station out into and through the American Park and up the hill past the foreign cemetery.
Fantastic little museum for anyone who loves old tin toys. Plus a few older ones. Lovely staff really friendly. Called round at the Christmas shop which sadly was closed but the lady there seeing we were wet gave us two umbrellas and wouldn't take any payment That's service!!
It looks like a small toy shop and I wasn’t sure I was at the right place but I was warmly greeted when I walked in. Only 200 yen entry and you will see an amazing and delightful collection of old tin toys. Monsters, animals, fire trucks, robots and spaceships each have their own sections. I was surprised to see many cartoon characters mixed in such as Popeye. It was a fantastic 15 minute walk from Chinatown, which involved a good uphill climb through a park and cemetery. That part was a beautiful surprise. If you have any interest in old tin toys you will be glad you made the trip to this happy place. Bonus: The proprietors have a big lovely dog that I was overjoyed to meet.
This is the best place to have a nostalgic trip back to childhood.. also check out the Christmas themed toys and decors in the backyard shop.
